I met Andrew at one of my shows last summer. He was wearing white pants, a white shirt, and though he is only in his thirties, had a naturally white head of hair. He was soft-spoken but clearly alert. I was a fan of the poems he occasionally shared on his Instagram. He also played in bands, made weird video art, and took thoughtfully composed photographs of cityscapes that made the high-rises look tragic and impotent. There was a lot I related to. We (Folly House) worked on this book together for a year, after Andrew had started three before that. Four years later, today, it’s out.
You can purchase a copy for $15CAD at folly.house.
If you live in Nova Scotia, there will be a launch event in Halifax on November 5, 4:00pm, at The Mouse Trap (Good Robot), 2736 Robie Street. I will be in some corner, drinking beer.
Feel free to subscribe to the Folly House newsletter if you’d like to know more about our books or quarterly poetry prize.
